Ellen Hopkins, M.A. Ed./Educational Administration, currently serves as the Coordinator of Assessment and Professional Development for the East Valley/Spokane School District. Ellen coordinates district, state and national assessment administration as well as interpreting results related to professional learning and continued improvement. In addition, she is the coordinator of professional development throughout EVSD in all content areas. Ellen has 25 years of experience in public education as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, literacy facilitator, summer program coordinator and central office roles. Ellen has been an active participant in various state level work through OSPI to include: WA State Literacy Leadership Cadre, MSP item writing, MSP scoring and multiple State Materials Review Groups.
